There are so many decisions to make when planning your wedding, I’d like to make choosing a photographer an easy one for you.
Style & Approach
When you are looking for a wedding photographer, style is important. I’ve been a photographer for many years and have a natural, relaxed and intuitive approach. Broadly speaking there are two types of wedding photography; photojournalistic or documentary and traditional. I fall somewhere between the two.
Whilst my approach is definitely documentary style, where you are telling the story by capturing those candid moments that are so easily missed and when bought together beautifully tell the story of your day, I’ve found that people also want the odd group shot too. The balance between the two means you get the best of both worlds, with a more natural and relaxed approach.
Why choose me?
In short I love weddings and creating stories. I can’t promise not to be humming, ‘going to the chapel’ occasionally throughout the day, but I can promise you will receive a stunning set of beautifully edited photographs that you will treasure for a life time. As a ‘thank-you for booking’ gift, you will receive a pre-wedding photo shoot at no cost.
I believe in good old fashioned ethics and over delivering on value. This means you won’t receive watermarked images that you then have to buy afterwards. Pricing is transparent and I’ve included a price guide further down this page.
Once upon a time, I had a corporate career and when you are trained that way, professionalism sticks. I’ve learnt over the years you can be professional, friendly and fun at the same time – professionalism means I take my work and your happiness seriously, so delivering an outstanding service is important to me.
I’m a huge advocate of quality over quantity and use the very best equipment and software to create your photographs. Working with a Fine Art Trade Guild print and framing company means if you do wish to print and/or frame any of your wedding photographs, I can arrange this for you. The paper is something you really have to experience and I have samples that you can see and touch to really get a feel for how amazing it is. I can also create photo books and albums to suit you. I’ll bring some samples of prints and frames for you to look at – these also include some options you can do yourself too.
I’m very intuitive and have a relaxed, gentle approach which works well when creating a story. Rather than a ‘stand here’ kind of approach I blend into the background, help with stray toddlers, champagne glasses, reading glasses too sometimes, dresses caught under shoes and capture my photographs by being everywhere at once.
Naturally, I’m energetic, highly organised, super efficient, incredibly reliable, friendly and approachable. This all adds up to mean you can trust that working with me will be an enjoyable experience and ultimately one where you will end up with a stunning set of photographs that retell the story of your fabulous day, allowing you to relive it over and over again.
